I am a British professional who has lived in Taiwan for six years and built a stable life here with my Taiwanese wife. After years of working across different industries and overcoming personal challenges, I am now sober and focused on long-term growth. That period shaped my discipline, resilience, and sense of responsibility. I approach life with a clear mindset, strong work ethic, and commitment to continuous improvement. Outside of work, I stay active through regular gym training and long walks. I am approachable, easy to get along with, and bring a balanced mix of reliability, energy, and maturity to everything I do.

Understand the challenges of learning a new language, especially within a local context, to create a relaxed, empathetic, and collaborative classroom environment. I bring a practical, real-world perspective shaped by professional experience across hospitality, manufacturing, agriculture, and tourism in the UK, France, and Australia. In addition, I have two years of military experience in the UK, which has strengthened my discipline, adaptability, and ability to work within structured systems.
My teaching incorporates real-life situations, helping students use English effectively for work, family life, and social or interpersonal relationships. I also have basic Chinese communication ability, which I use selectively to reduce friction, build rapport, and prevent misunderstandings without creating reliance. I focus on building confidence through meaningful communication, combining clear structure with flexible methods to suit individual learners, ensuring students can use English naturally, confidently, and effectively in everyday contexts.
