Hi, this is Rachel
I believe that each student has a unique learning background, language proficiency, and learning goals. Language is a tool for communication. I emphasize students’ ability to use Chinese in real-life contexts. Classes incorporate dialogue practice, role-playing, and task-based learning, allowing students to learn through active practice.
Integrating Culture into Language Learning
Language and culture are inseparable. By introducing Chinese festivals, daily customs, and historical stories, students can understand cultural context while learning the language, enhancing their cross-cultural communication skills.
Encouraging Exploration and Autonomous Learning
I encourage students to stay curious, take risks, and develop independent learning skills. I provide resources and guide learning strategies so students can continue improving outside the classroom.
Positive Feedback and Growth Motivation
Throughout the learning process, I focus on positive feedback, acknowledging students’ efforts, and patiently pointing out areas for improvement. This creates a safe and supportive environment where students feel confident to express themselves and challenge their abilities.
