I have worked as a teacher in the USA and Taiwan for over a decade. My parents were English teachers, and their approach to instruction has guided me inside and outside the classroom. I graduated from New York University in 2007 with a major in English and minor in History. Upon completion of my degree, I worked as a writer for an educational internet company.
In 2012, I moved to Taiwan to teach at a private school in Sanxia. I worked there until the summer of 2014. Primarily, I was teaching elementary-level students. I am very familiar with the city and have many memories here. In 2015, I moved to Shanghai, China, where I served as the English Director at Meitong Academy. In 2018, I returned to Taiwan to work as a media writer and translator for Zyxel at Hsinchu Science Park. Afterwards, I was fortunate to work in the USA (New York City) at a school for students with special needs. I recently moved back to Taiwan last summer to assist a former colleague at another local school.
I love Taiwan culture, its people, and of course its food!

Hi!
I am a patient and flexible teacher that bases my teaching style on the age and English ability of the student.Typically, I use a multimodal approach, which means my lessons will incorporate visual prompts, listening activities, writing exercises, and games (for younger students).
My course flow is catered to the student level. After a preliminary lesson, I usually create a goal-oriented lesson schedule with written and speaking quizzes or tests to assess progress.
As I have taught all age groups, including adults, at all levels from beginner to advanced, I am open and excited to teach whomever is interested!
