My name is Lai Chien Te or Bruce Lai. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English. I have 11 years of experience teaching ESL to a wide range of demographic groups. I have an extremely high customer satisfaction and retention rate. Furthermore, I have experience in both content and curriculum creation. I've also been the lead teacher multiple times and have management experience.
I am a firm believer of this moto: " Practice doesn't make perfect. Only perfect practice makes perfect". In other words, I strive to give my students perfect practice through experienced and refined teaching methods. In addition, I know the importance of the "joy of learning". So, I always make sure that my students finish each session with a smile on their face.

**Teaching Profile**
My teaching approach centers on student-centered learning, blending direct instruction with collaborative inquiry. I employ a variety of methods — think-pair-share, Socratic questioning, guided discovery, and real-world case studies — to accommodate diverse learning preferences and deepen conceptual understanding.
Course flow is structured yet flexible: lessons open with a brief review, progress through scaffolded new content, and close with reflective consolidation. Formative checks throughout each session allow me to adapt pacing in real time.

My target audience is students CEFR A2- C1, students of all ages, with varied academic backgrounds and limited prior exposure to the subject. Several cohorts include international students and learners with documented learning support needs, informing my use of visual aids, bilingual resources, and differentiated task design.
