My name is Sisy Aung and I am currently a sophomore at Taipei American School while also being an internationally recognized and ranked debater who is fluent in both English and Chinese. Growing up in international environments and learning several other languages such as Latin, Greek, and Burmese, I understand that learning a language can feel intimidating, especially when students are afraid of making mistakes. My teaching philosophy focuses on creating a comfortable and encouraging space where students feel safe to speak and gradually challenge themselves. Rather than memorizing vocabulary lists, I emphasize understanding how English works and how to express ideas clearly. I adapt my teaching style to each student’s goals, whether they need academic support, conversation practice, or writing improvement. My aim is not only to improve grades, but to help students think, express opinions, and use English naturally in real situations.

This English course focuses on real communication skills through conversation, situational practice, and interactive activities to naturally improve listening, speaking, reading, analysis and writing. Lessons are customized to each student’s level and needs, including school support, speaking confidence, pronunciation correction, and writing skills. The classes would be unqiue and structured. Instead of memorization, the goal is to build confidence and understanding so students can use English comfortably in both daily and academic settings. Students will also learn how to express opinions clearly and think critically in English through guided discussions. Regular feedback and small, easy to achieve goals help track progress and keep learning motivating and consistent.
