Hi! My name is Dikai, and I am a professional Mandarin Chinese teacher from Taiwan with academic training in Chinese literature and Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language. I am also certified by Taiwan’s Ministry of Education and have experience teaching students from different countries, language backgrounds, and proficiency levels.
Over the years, I have worked with learners who study Chinese for many different reasons — daily communication, travel, heritage learning, academic study, professional goals, or personal interest in Taiwanese and Chinese culture. These experiences have taught me that there is no single “perfect” way to learn a language. Every student learns differently, which is why I place great importance on personalized teaching.
My lessons are supportive, structured, and flexible. I focus on helping students build confidence and develop practical language skills they can actually use in real life. I also enjoy introducing cultural topics, authentic expressions, and the nuances of natural Mandarin, especially Taiwanese Mandarin and contemporary usage.
Whether you want to improve conversation skills, pronunciation, listening comprehension, reading ability, or overall fluency, I will create lessons that match your goals and learning style. I hope to make Chinese learning not only effective, but also enjoyable and meaningful.

Every student learns Chinese for a different reason, so my lessons are always personalized and goal-oriented. Whether you are a complete beginner, a heritage learner, a university student, or an advanced learner looking to improve fluency, I design each lesson according to your level, interests, and real-life needs.
My teaching focuses on practical communication and building confidence step by step. Lessons may include conversation practice, listening, pronunciation, vocabulary expansion, grammar support, reading, or cultural topics, depending on your goals. I also adapt the materials and teaching style to match how you learn best.
If you want to improve daily conversation, prepare for travel, communicate with family, study Chinese literature, understand Taiwanese culture, or develop professional Chinese skills, I will create a learning plan that helps you reach those goals in a clear and effective way.
I believe language learning should feel meaningful, engaging, and connected to real life — not just memorizing textbooks. My goal is to help students use Chinese naturally and confidently in situations that truly matter to them.
