Hi! I’m Joanna, a native Mandarin speaker from Taiwan with a degree in English.
I specialize in helping adult learners speak real, natural Mandarin, especially for daily conversation, travel, and workplace communication.
My classes are practical, relaxed, and packed with cultural tips that you won’t find in textbooks.
I also speak fluent English, so don’t worry if you’re just starting out!

Hi! I’m Joanna, a native Mandarin speaker from Taiwan.
I’ve been teaching Chinese since 2020 and have helped students from the US, Australia, and Japan improve their speaking skills and confidence.
I use a natural, immersion-inspired approach, with lots of input from videos, stories, and everyday language.
I’ll guide you to think in Mandarin step by step, with English support when needed.
That means lots of real-life content like videos, stories, and fun discussions.
I’m friendly, patient, and always happy to correct your pronunciation.
Whether you're a beginner or want to sound more native, I’ll design lessons just for you.
I mainly teach Traditional Chinese, but I’m happy to help with Simplified as well.
I also provide feedback after each lesson and can assign homework if you like.
