Hi, I'm Mitty! A Certified Mandarin Teacher from Taiwan
I'm a Mandarin teacher, content creator, and passionate traveler who loves connecting with people from different cultures!
I hold the official Certificate of Qualification to Teach Mandarin Chinese as a Second / Foreign Language, issued by Taiwan's Ministry of Education.
I've taught over 650 Mandarin lessons through National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), working with students of different ages, backgrounds, and language levels.
A Little More About Me
Besides teaching Mandarin, I love traveling, reading, exploring new technology, and discovering different cultures.
Having lived and traveled abroad, I understand how exciting and sometimes challenging it can be to learn a new language and communicate across cultures.
These experiences have shaped the way I teach. I'm always curious about my students' perspectives, and I love bringing real-world experiences into our conversations.
What Do I Enjoy Talking About?
Almost anything!
From travel, food, and everyday life to literature, technology, history, and social issues, I enjoy meaningful conversations and exchanging ideas.
One of my favorite things about teaching Mandarin is how much I also learn from my students. Sometimes a simple vocabulary question can turn into a fascinating conversation about language, culture, or the world around us!
I hope to be more than just your Mandarin teacher. I'd love to be someone who helps you feel comfortable speaking Chinese, encourages your curiosity, and makes learning something you genuinely look forward to.

你好！我是 Mitty，來自臺灣的華語老師，也是一位熱愛旅行、閱讀、科技與跨文化交流的內容創作者。
我擁有臺灣教育部核發的對外華語教學能力證書，並在國立臺灣師範大學累積超過 650 堂華語教學經驗。
過去的海外旅居經驗，讓我更喜歡探索不同文化與語言之間的連結。我也很享受和學生交流各種話題，從日常生活、旅行、美食，到文學、科技和社會議題都可以聊！
我希望中文課不只是學習語言的時間，也能成為彼此分享不同文化和觀點的機會。

Learn Mandarin with a Certified Teacher from Taiwan!
Hi! I'm Mitty, a Mandarin teacher certified by Taiwan's Ministry of Education, with over 650 lessons of teaching experience on Preply and at National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU).
I believe learning Mandarin should be practical, engaging, and connected to your everyday life. Every student learns differently, so I customize my lessons based on your level, interests, and learning goals.
What Can You Expect from My Lessons?
Personalized Learning: Lessons are designed around your goals, whether you're a complete beginner or an advanced learner.
Traditional Chinese & Taiwanese Mandarin: Learn authentic Mandarin as spoken in Taiwan, with Zhuyin (Bopomofo) or Pinyin support.
Real-Life Materials: I love using YouTube videos, news articles, movies, literature, and cultural topics to make learning more interesting.
Interactive Conversations: Practice speaking naturally through everyday situations, discussions, and role-playing.
Structured Feedback: Review important vocabulary, grammar, and expressions, with additional practice materials when needed.
How Does a Typical Lesson Work?
1. Warm-up and review: We start with a conversation and review what you've learned.
2. New topics: Explore vocabulary, grammar, or reading materials based on your level.
3. Practice: Apply what you've learned through conversation and interactive activities.
4. Feedback: Receive personalized corrections and suggestions for improvement.

我的課程以臺灣繁體中文為主，適合零基礎學習者、海外華裔學生，以及希望精進中文能力的成人。
我會依照每位學生的程度、興趣和需求設計專屬課程，結合生活對話、新聞、影視、文學及臺灣文化，讓中文學習更有趣，也更貼近日常生活。
課堂上除了學習詞彙與文法，我也非常重視實際應用，鼓勵學生多開口，並透過個別回饋和複習練習，逐步建立自信與表達能力。
