As a graduate from the University of Toronto, a top school in Canada, and many years of experience, I am confident in my tutoring skills but also my patience and nurturing abilities.
I can help young learners to feel confident in their English and math skills, through patience and helping them understand the process. Focus is on understanding key concepts, target words for English literature and patterns in math and writing.
I have helped elementary students with their writing tasks,private school students with their math and English reading abilities and high schoolers with their English speaking and essay writing.

My classes always begin with understanding why the young learner cannot complete his/her task and why they find the homework difficult. Through this analyzation, it becomes easier to help them relax, focus and want to get through the work.
After that, I break down the lesson for them step by step and do an example question for them. I will explain the process and then ask them to do the samesample question. Then I will ask them again after changing the numbers or words around and see if they can repeat it
In my opinion, most English and math questions follow a pattern. If the student can grasp the patterns, they won't need to memorize so much down the line.
