關於Levi
Hi there! My name is Levi, and I am a TEFL-certified English teacher currently living right here in Taipei. Originally from the Netherlands, I’ve always had a passion for languages and exploring new cultures. Since I grew up in a country where English is a vital second language, I know exactly what it takes to go from a beginner to a confident, fluent speaker.
I know that learning English can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when you are preparing for school tests or trying to remember difficult grammar rules. That’s why I focus on making my lessons feel like a natural conversation rather than a boring lecture. My goal is to show my students that English is a key to the rest of the world!
In my classes, I am known for being very patient and encouraging. I love working with younger students and helping them find their "English voice." I’m a firm believer that the best way to learn is in a relaxed environment where you feel safe making mistakes—because that is how we grow.
When I’m not teaching, you can usually find me traveling or exploring different parts of Taiwan to learn more about the local culture. I’m excited to be here and I can’t wait to help you reach your goals and see your confidence grow!

My Teaching Style & Methods
I don’t believe in just sitting with a book and memorizing lists of words. That’s boring for kids and doesn't work for exams. Instead, I focus on "learning by doing." I use a lot of conversation, games, and real-life examples to make English feel like a tool, not just a school subject.
If a student is struggling with grammar for a school test, I don't just give them more rules. I explain why we use certain words in a way that actually makes sense. My goal is to make my students feel comfortable speaking so they stop feeling shy.
Course Flow
We usually start with a quick 5-minute chat to get the "English brain" working. Then, we dive into the main topic of the day—this could be a specific grammar point they have a test on, or new vocabulary.
The last part of the lesson is always about using what we just learned. We might do a role-play, a quick quiz, or a fun speaking challenge. This way, the student leaves the lesson actually knowing how to use the language, not just how to pass a paper test.
Who I Teach
I mainly work with younger students (Elementary to High School) who need to get better grades but also want to actually speak the language. Whether they are just starting out or preparing for a big school exam, I move at their pace.
Because I am from the Netherlands and have a TEFL certificate, I understand exactly what it’s like to learn English from scratch. I know the difficult parts, and I know how to make them easy.
