Hi! I’m a native Chinese speaker, and I previously studied in Japan. I speak Japanese at a near-native level and I’m also fluent in English. I’ve been teaching languages for seven years, so I understand both sides of language learning: what it takes to teach effectively and how difficult it can feel to learn a new language yourself.
Through my own experience as a language learner and my years of teaching, I’ve realized that one of the biggest difficulties people face when learning Chinese is trying to learn it in the same way they learned another language. But Chinese has its own logic, especially when it comes to Chinese characters.
Chinese characters are not isolated symbols that you simply have to memorize one by one. Many characters are connected through their components, structure, sounds, and meanings. Once you start seeing these connections, remembering characters becomes much easier and more interesting.
That is the idea behind my teaching. I want to help you stop feeling that Chinese characters are difficult or frustrating, and instead understand how they work and gradually enjoy learning them.
Whether you are learning Chinese yourself or looking for a teacher for your child, I’m confident that with the right approach, you can stop struggling with Chinese characters and start enjoying them.

My lessons are designed for learners who want to understand Chinese, not simply memorize it.
I usually don’t rely heavily on textbooks. Instead, I create personalized dialogues, short stories, and reading materials with AI based on your level, interests, and learning goals. If you prefer to follow a textbook, we can absolutely use one.
For beginners who have some basic Chinese but struggle with Chinese characters, we start with simple, practical conversations and gradually explore how characters are built, including their components, structure, and patterns. My goal is to help you see that Chinese characters are connected and meaningful, rather than something you have to memorize one by one.
For intermediate learners, the biggest challenge is often listening. You may know many characters and want to speak, but speaking starts with understanding what other people are saying. We use real conversations and AI-generated subtitles to connect what you can see with what you hear. Step by step, you will become more comfortable understanding spoken Chinese and responding naturally.
Most importantly, I want you to feel that Chinese is something you can understand and enjoy—not something you have to struggle to memorize.
