I am a believer that there are no shortcuts to learning a language. It is an ongoing and immersive process, and it is better to have a teacher to guide and encourage you along the way.
I like my classes to be lighter in atmosphere but heavier in content. There is less emphasis on rote memorization and more on understanding concepts. I ask questions that require students to synthesize what they have learned and to articulate their thoughts clearly.
Students will feel that they took away something from every class, but will not feel anxious, intimidated, nor detracted from learning.

Since obtaining a teacher's license for teaching English in New York City, I have been teaching English online and in-person since 2016.
My students include:
-high schoolers preparing for their SATs and AP English exams
-students seeking higher education abroad prepping to take TOEFL, IELTS, GRE...etc
-school and job applicants preparing for their interviews and drafting their CV/resume/SOP
My classes cater to each student's individual needs, thus the class materials, class time, and class structure are customized and adjustable. While a select few students attend short-term classes just until they meet their testing goals, most students stay on for years because they enjoy reading and discussing articles and stories together. I encourage all students to write in-class and for homework, and support them to become concise and articulate in their compositions.
